Revelation Chapter 12, vs. 13-14

"And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. And the two wings of THE GREAT EAGLE were given to the woman, in order that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent."

Here we see that earlier in Chapter 12 the great sign in heaven of the woman, clothed in all the symbolism of the nation of Israel, has given birth to a son who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron. Her child (Jesus, the Son of God) is caught up to heaven to God and His throne.

Satan is incensed! ( Ch. 12: vs. 17) and, although he cannot reach the woman ( The End-Time Church AND the Jewish believers who have come to Christ.) Satan goes off to make war with the rest of the woman's offspring who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. ( Geographically, this will likely be most or all of Europe, the Middle East, Southern Russia and Northern Africa.) Although Satan's kingdom will be substantial, it has been decreed that he cannot reach the woman in the wilderness during these last three and a half years he will reign on earth.

The "wilderness" has to be the United States and likely Canada, Brazil and most of the Western Hemisphere. The United States, represented in Scripture by the GREAT EAGLE, will lead this coalition from the wilderness. (Perhaps we've already begun.)

This will likely be the United States' finest hour in terms of God's purpose for our nation to exist. We will be as a "Three strand cord" for those three and a half years. These three great end time players will team together as haven and protector.- The United States (The EAGLE), The professing, leaven filled and flawed body of believers ( The CHURCH), and the truly Holy and Purified part of that same group (The BRIDE), will be used mightily to overcome Satan's rule on the rest of the earth.

There are many wonderful saints walking this earth today that are convinced that the entire professing church will be purified, get raptured out before the tribulation, and escape all unpleasantness here on earth. Hence the entire church somehow magically turns into the Bride. It is a lot more likely that the Bride is those in Christ who are martyred in the tribulation or before. Those of us who are still hear on earth during the last half of the tribulation will likely be too busy ministering to the lost and getting our hands dirty with one messy mercy mission after another to worry about whether our wedding garment is spotless.

Scripture is clear that "The Woman", whether she is only Israel or includes all true End Times believers ( which is more likely ), is nurtured and protected in the wilderness for three and a half years. As the events of this world explode around us each day, we are drawing closer to that time known as "The Day of the Lord". The United States, as the End Times Eagle has an important roll of mercy to play out. Thank God that Mercy triumphs over Judgment.
